AFTERCARE
If a Saniderm bandage was used over your tattoo:
Leave your saniderm bandage on for three days after it has been applied. The saniderm bandage is waterproof, so you can shower or get it wet without worry. After the three days, I recommend you take it off in the shower. The heat from the water will loosen the bandage, and make it easier to remove. Peel off the saniderm bandage gently, throw away in the trash, and wash your hands thoroughly. After removal, wash your tattoo with anti bacterial liquid hand soap and warm water, thoroughly but gently. Pat dry with a clean paper towel, then apply a thin layer of either aquaphor, or unscented lotion. Do this cleaning process 2-3 times a day, for the next three days, after you have removed your saniderm bandage. Once the three days have passed, do not continue to wash your tattoo. If the tattoo becomes dry or irritated during that time, you can put a thin layer of either aquaphor or unscented lotion on it, once a day to keep the healing tattoo moisturized, up to a week after the initial three days of washing/applying aftercare.

If no Saniderm bandage was used:
Take off your bandage when you get home from your appointment. wash your hands thoroughly. After removal, wash your tattoo with anti bacterial liquid hand soap and warm water, thoroughly but gently. Pat dry with a clean paper towel, then apply a thin layer of either aquaphor, or unscented lotion. Do this cleaning process 2-3 times a day, for the next three days.
