AFTERCARE
Saniderm Aftercare Instructions
If a Saniderm Bandage Was Applied to Your Tattoo
Days 1-3: Leave the Bandage On
-
Leave your Saniderm bandage in place for 3 full days after application.
-
The bandage is waterproof, so normal showering is okay.
-
Avoid excessive soaking, swimming, hot tubs, or activities that cause heavy sweating.
Day 3: Remove the Bandage
-
Remove the bandage in the shower using warm water.
-
The heat will help loosen the adhesive, making removal more comfortable.
-
Gently peel the Saniderm away from your skin.
-
Dispose of the bandage and wash your hands thoroughly.
After Removing the Bandage (Days 4-6)
Repeat the following process 2-3 times per day for the next 3 days:
-
Wash the tattoo gently with warm water and an antibacterial liquid hand soap.
-
Rinse thoroughly.
-
Pat dry with a clean paper towel.
-
Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or an unscented lotion.
After Day 6
-
You no longer need to wash the tattoo multiple times per day.
-
Continue to keep the area clean and avoid scratching or picking.
-
If the tattoo feels dry, tight, or irritated, apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or unscented lotion once daily as needed.
-
Continue moisturizing for up to one additional week or until the tattoo has fully healed.
